Happy Valentines Day!

Posted on Feb 13, 2014 in Faith Updates

Hello Faith-ers

You know what month it is…Love Month. All of us men are scrambling trying to get the best deal on roses, make the proper arrangements with restaurants and make sure Valentines Day goes off with out a hitch. Unless you’re like me, whose wife wants to plan Valentines Day this year.

I know. It sounds too good to be true. That’s why I am freaking out! What do I get her? Do I just show up with flowers? Is a card necessary? Females who are reading this please send any suggestions to

In line with it being Love month, this week we are starting a new series called Love Does. Despite what many of you are thinking this is not a series on romance. In the Greek there are 5 words for love, each word meaning something a little different.

In our culture, we have lost some of the meanings of love. We equate love as a feeling or something we freak out about over Valentines Day. But God’s love, and how we are supposed to love, might be different than a feeling. Love is an action and love does things that further God’s kingdom. So join us this week for our brand-new series called, Love Does.

See you Sunday,

-Jon Oney
