Greetings to you this Holy Week. Tomorrow is Good Friday and we’re looking forward to what I believe will be a very meaningful and special service as we journey together to the Cross of Jesus Christ. The name Good Friday feels like an oxymoron, how could it be good that God had to die on a tree? And yet as we take to the time to ponder and experience together what we’ve done and what Christ has done, we end up discovering, again and again, what is truly good.
I invite you to worship with us as we explore the theme, “I stole his throne, he carried my cross.” We’re in for a memorable night of interpretive dance, art, song, and God’s Word of love from cross. May God truly bless your Good Friday, and then the miracle of Resurrection on Easter. See you Sunday at one of our Easter services at 9:30am or 11:00am.
Baptism Sunday We’re in awe of God’s movement here at Faith (praise God for 50+ believers baptized in 2013!), and we’re trusting God to call and prepare others to surrender their lives to Him this spring. To this end, on Sunday, April 27, our entire worship service will be centered around baptism, honoring the Covenant’s commitment to one baptism in two modes. What this means practically is that both infant and believer baptisms will take place during worship that morning. Please connect with Jen at email@example.com if God’s tugging at your heart to participate.
We will be hosting a prayer and praise congregational meeting on April 27 at 8:30am in the Legacy Chapel. Please join us. A copy of the agenda and minutes from our November meeting are in the lobby.
Small Groups Invitation
We invite you to celebrate Small Groups at Faith with us on Saturday, May 3 in one or two ways: Small Group Leader Training for any existing leaders or anyone interested in helping lead a group in fall 2014 (8:50am-noon); and/or Appreciation Lunch for all small group leaders. Come hear some exciting stories and celebrate with us God’s momentum and blessing of small groups! RSVP to Jen at 952.890.3110 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please join us if you would like to get together with the guys for a fun outing on Sunday, April 27 at 12:15pm. We’ll meet for lunch and trap shooting. No experience is necessary but you must be 18 or older. The cost is $30. Please contact Dan at 952.454.7605 or email@example.com.
National Day of Prayer
Join in prayer for our State and Nation on Thursday, May 1 at the Minnesota State Capitol. There will be a time of worship at 2:30pm followed by prayer at 3:15pm. For further information, contact Sharon Auldrich at 952.890.6749.
Whether this is your first Sunday at Faith or you have been kicking the tires around here for a while, we want to invite you to our Faith Connect lunch on Sunday, May 4th at 12:15pm. This is intended to give you information about our church, answer questions, and point you in the right direction to get involved with a small group or volunteering. Childcare will be provided. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
