God Provides

Ask most Christians if God is the “great provider,” they will answer with a resounding, “Yes!” This being the case, what it would look like if God provides for our future as a church?

We have said we firmly believe God has called us to be a family of grace who makes disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. Thus, if God is the great Provider, and we move forward in trusting that truth, we can firmly believe God is going to grow us in grace as we actually make disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus!

So we can imagine a growing children’s ministry where more and more kids are coming to Christ and growing in His word. And that is happening!

We can imagine a growing youth ministry where more and more teens are coming to Christ, getting confirmed, growing in His word, and serving the community. And that is happening!

We can imagine men’s and women’s ministries and small groups growing closer to God and each other while apprenticing themselves to Jesus as His disciples. And that’s happening!

We can imagine faithful Faith Covenanters serving in the name of Christ at the Union Gospel Mission, Dakota County Jail, Feed My Starving Children, fighting human trafficking and tutoring local school children. And that is happening!

We can imagine people crossing that most important line of faith on Sunday mornings when the invitation is given to receive Christ. And that is happening!

We can imagine people standing and recommitting their lives to Christ when the invitation is given on Sunday mornings. And that is happening!

We can imagine a prayer task force meeting with me monthly to develop a comprehensive prayer strategy for our whole church. And that is happening!

We can imagine a GROW task force meeting with me monthly to develop a comprehensive discipleship strategy for our congregation. And that is happening!

We can imagine a GO task force meeting with me monthly to develop a comprehensive sending strategy for our congregation. And that is happening!

In short, God is providing everything we need to fulfill the calling He has placed upon us. And it is in this confidence that we are exploring God our great Provider in our May message series—God Provides. I do hope you will join me as we grow our faith in our great Provider!

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Facility Feasibility Planning Meetings

We are encouraging everyone who calls Faith Covenant Church home to join us for 1 of 3 meetings to begin dialogue regarding conceptual design, financial feasibility, and vision for our building’s interior refresh. Faith4Freedom Hosts Trafficking Justice Social

Ever wonder just what Faith4Freedom is all about? Join us on Tuesday, May 9 at 7pm, as we host Trafficking Justice’s Monthly Social Meeting. May’s topic is on prevention in schools and youth groups. Faith 20’s and 30’s Summer Fun

Join us on Saturday, May 20 for our next Twenties and Thirties event! We will be meeting offsite in Prior Lake to grill, play yard games, and finish the evening with a bonfire (with marshmallows)! Summer Galactic Starveyors Camp

The Galactic Starveyors Camp (VBS) will be held June 12-15, 9am-noon, for kids entering Kindergarten – grade 5 (in the fall of 2017). Kids younger than Kindergarten can attend with a parent or guardian from 11am-noon. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with kids in order to tell them about Jesus—and to see those relationships last beyond the week. Volunteers and campers can register HERE.  The cost is $10 per child which includes a t-shirt.

Pizza Ranch Fundraiser for Romania Team

Come support the Romania Mission Team by eating at Pizza Ranch in Lakeville on Wednesday, May 24 from 5 to 8pm. We will receive 10% of their sales for each person who brings in a Pizza Ranch Romania support ticket. Tickets will be available at the student ministry desk in the lobby. Please pass these out and spread the word to friends, neighbors, and family!

All Church Garage Sale

Mark the date on your calendar: the Faith All-Church Garage Sale is July 20-21. It’s time to clean out those closets, under your beds, and behind the sofa. Let go of the hobbies that were a “good idea at the time” and give someone the opportunity to enjoy your unused treasures! All proceeds will go to the MOMS Program. The City

Sunday, April 9, Faith launched our new communications tool called The City! This is an on-line platform, just for Faith Covenant, that will help us all stay connected to the ministries and people of our church, so we can serve more effectively together! If you are not yet on, we want you to join us! (Also note the give-away for those who join before June 20!) If you did not receive an email that invited you to join, please let us know your correct email address, or request to join online.
