Student Ministry (Grades 6 – 12)
Wednesday Night Programming 6:30-8p (September through April)
116: Grades 6-12
On Wednesday nights (starting September 13th through the end of April), students in grades 6-12 have a chance to grow through applicable Bible-based teaching, are able to connect with other young Jesus-followers through small group relationships, worship together with contemporary worship music, and have a fun time playing games every evening! There are also retreats, trips, service projects, and other events throughout the year that you won’t want to miss.
Our program runs from 6:30-8pm most Wednesday nights, and we meet in the lower level of the building in the Youth Room. Students may arrive any time between 6:00 and 6:30pm to enjoy our games, café, and time with friends. Confirmation Sundays 9-10am
Confirmation is our doctrine and theology basics class. All students in 8th and 9th grade are invited and encouraged to attend Confirmation (though students in other grades occasionally also join us. This 8-month course will explore the basics of Christian doctrine, the history of the Evangelical Covenant Church, and various theological topics. Classes meet Sunday mornings from 9-10am, October through April. Students must sign up for the course prior to beginning and are required to complete all necessary coursework in order to be confirmed.
In addition to Sunday mornings, there will be a fall and spring TEC retreat. Total costs for Confirmation will be $120 for the year, which will cover materials and the retreat experiences. We want to make sure money isn’t a barrier or hardship to any student participating – scholarships are available.
If you are looking to get your student involved with Student Ministry at Faith Covenant Church, feel free to contact us; we love the heads up on new students and we love to meet parents. If your student is reluctant (don’t worry, that’s normal), encourage your student to bring a friend along. Everyone is welcome at anything we do! Also, we want to encourage your student to try all of our programs. Each offers something a little different, and may reach different students in different ways.
Additionally, the Student Ministry Team wants to be available to you for your questions and comments. We know that Student Ministry is not just about students, but about serving families as well. If there is any way that we can serve you as a parent, a peer, or a friend, please let us know.

I’m New…What Do I Do?
During the school year, there is no pre-registration necessary for new students for our weekly gatherings. Students who come for the first time will be registered on the spot when they show up. All events are open to all students, whether or not the student or the student’s family attends Faith Covenant. In fact, new students are highly encouraged to bring a friend along with them to check out any of our programs. It’s great to experience new things with old friends!
