Worth Fighting For!

Posted on Feb 12, 2015 in Faith Updates

As you read this, our family is preparing our daughter for surgery and a lengthy recovery period. Unfortunately, one of the hazards of an athlete is injury – in our case, a torn ACL. Thankfully, among the benefits of youth are health and strength and, in our daughter’s case, a strong will to recover completely and return to play ASAP. There is a great deal of fight involved in recovery and rehab, and (in our case) the love of the sport makes the fight well worth it.

Our current sermon series is titled “The Fight of Your Life” and is all about naming those things worth fighting for. A sport is a valid thing to fight for, but even more worthy of a good fight are our marriages, our families, our church family, and our relationship with God (to name a few).

Stay strong, stay focused, and commit to the Fight! Remember: God’s family (aka The Church) is ready to stand and fight alongside you… God bless you this week!

See you Sunday,
