We have taken on an ambitious project of vacuuming the rocks out of one of the medians in the parking lot\, putting in new plastic and re-installing the rocks. This is in addition to the wood chipping\, the patio haircut and the gazebo cleanup that we normally do! \nLunch will be served! \nRain date will be October 19th.

DESCRIPTION:This fall\, we’ll go through writer Kaitlyn Schiess’s book The Liturgy of Politics. You don’t need to read or buy the book\, but you are welcome to do so. Just come on in! Sundays 9-10 AM in the Legacy Chapel. \nThe book is described as follows: \n“A generation of young Christians are weary of the political legacy they’ve inherited and hungry for a better approach. \nThey’re tired of seeing their faith tied to political battles they didn’t start\, and they’re frustrated by the failures of leaders they thought they could trust. Kaitlyn Schiess grew up in this landscape\, and understands it from the inside. \nSpiritual formation\, and particularly a focus on formative practices\, are experiencing a renaissance in Christian thinking―but these ideas are not often applied to the political sphere. In The Liturgy of Politics\, Schiess shows that the church’s politics are shaped by its habits and practices even when it’s unaware of them. Schiess insists that the way out of our political morass is first to recognize the formative power of the political forces all around us\, and then to recover historic Christian practices that shape us according to the truth of the gospel.”

DESCRIPTION:At Faith Covenant\, we value having our kids in worship with their families\, and we also value giving kids time with their peers as they learn about Jesus!   \nIn light of that\, Faith Kids Sundays are pleased to offer: \n* Early Childhood rooms (Birth-2s\, PreK 3+) are staffed every week during the service \n* K-3rd graders (Pathfinders) begin their worship experience in the service and are invited to Faith Kids programming during the service with our awesome volunteers. \n* 4th & 5th graders (Club 45) are growing from kid to tween\, so we consider these transitional years in kids ministry as well. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month\, they begin their worship experience in the service and are invited to Faith Kids Club 45 programming during the service. The other Sundays of the month\, they are participating in the service. This allows them to make connections with peers and the full Faith family. \n* Developmental/special needs: If your child has a specific need to fit their developmental needs\, please talk to Vicki Newendorp\, our Interim Children’s Director\, about how we can best support your child. \nKids are ALWAYS welcome in our service.  For kids that need some helps during the service: fidgets\, noice cancelling headphones\, and kids in worship bags are available to borrow near the Faith Kids Wing. \nHoliday/Special Service Sundays: On these Sundays\, early childhood rooms are staffed and all other kids are in the service the whole time. \nCurious about what happens during our Faith Kids Sundays? \nFaith begins with wonder. Ink is God’s truth inked upon our hearts. Our Faith Kids Sundays are using Wonder Ink curriculum to spark curiosity and wonder as we take kids on a journey of faith formation. Each year\, kids will dive into the Bible with Old and New Testament stories that all connect to God’s Big Story.   \nRooted in Biblical truth\, the Faith Kids Sunday mornings are enriched with four core values:  \n\nGod Knows Me\nJesus Loves Me\nThe Holy Spirit Leads Me\nI Am a Child of God\n\nFaith Kids Sundays offer kids space to fully discover their place in God’s Big Story\, leaving no doubt about who God is and who they are in Him—helping them understand how their lives can tell of His wonder. \nWe read stories\, dive into God’s Word\, play games\, pray\, and do a variety of things to help the Gospel come alive to kids (science experiments\, crafts\, skits\, and all kinds of creative things). All of our age groups are using Wonder Ink.

DESCRIPTION:Awana Together It’s a unique faith building ministry for kids and their parents (or other key adults like grandparents) that helps families learn how to follow Jesus in everyday life. Each week provides a space for families to connect\, have fun\, and explore. \nWhat do Awana Together nights include? \nWORSHIP: all ages joined together \nCONNECT: age-specific programming \nBLESS: a final send-off for all the families \nWhat happens during the age-specific programming? \nKids will break into small groups by age: nursery\, PreK 3+\, K-3rd grade\, and Club 45 (4th & 5th grade). New this year during Kids Time\, all our kids will dive into God’s Word using Awana Brite. Each month\, we’ll explore a new theme. For example\, September’s theme is Masterpiece: God Gives Us Hope! Every week\, the Bible is read\, heard\, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives. The goal is to help kids confidently know: \n\nI believe in Jesus.\nI’m becoming more like Him.\nI belong to Him forever.\n\nAnd\, as always with Awana\, kids will have fun with games\, crafts\, STEM\, and other activities that help them connect with each other\, their leaders\, and God. \nDuring the Parent/Caregiver Time\, adults will connect\, pray\, get into God’s Word\, and build practical skills to help them love\, lead\, and disciple the kids in their lives…walking with their kids in their faith journey as they grow in their own faith. \nAwana meets Wednesday nights starting Sept 25 from 6:15pm-7:45pm. DESCRIPTION:At Faith Covenant\, we value having our kids in worship with their families\, and we also value giving kids time with their peers as they learn about Jesus!   \nIn light of that\, Faith Kids Sundays are pleased to offer: \n* Early Childhood rooms (Birth-2s\, PreK 3+) are staffed every week during the service \n* K-3rd graders (Pathfinders) begin their worship experience in the service and are invited to Faith Kids programming during the service with our awesome volunteers. \n* 4th & 5th graders (Club 45) are growing from kid to tween\, so we consider these transitional years in kids ministry as well. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month\, they begin their worship experience in the service and are invited to Faith Kids Club 45 programming during the service. The other Sundays of the month\, they are participating in the service. This allows them to make connections with peers and the full Faith family. \n* Developmental/special needs: If your child has a specific need to fit their developmental needs\, please talk to Vicki Newendorp\, our Interim Children’s Director\, about how we can best support your child. \nKids are ALWAYS welcome in our service.  For kids that need some helps during the service: fidgets\, noice cancelling headphones\, and kids in worship bags are available to borrow near the Faith Kids Wing. \nHoliday/Special Service Sundays: On these Sundays\, early childhood rooms are staffed and all other kids are in the service the whole time. \nCurious about what happens during our Faith Kids Sundays? \nFaith begins with wonder. Ink is God’s truth inked upon our hearts. Our Faith Kids Sundays are using Wonder Ink curriculum to spark curiosity and wonder as we take kids on a journey of faith formation. Each year\, kids will dive into the Bible with Old and New Testament stories that all connect to God’s Big Story.   \nRooted in Biblical truth\, the Faith Kids Sunday mornings are enriched with four core values:  \n\nGod Knows Me\nJesus Loves Me\nThe Holy Spirit Leads Me\nI Am a Child of God\n\nFaith Kids Sundays offer kids space to fully discover their place in God’s Big Story\, leaving no doubt about who God is and who they are in Him—helping them understand how their lives can tell of His wonder. \nWe read stories\, dive into God’s Word\, play games\, pray\, and do a variety of things to help the Gospel come alive to kids (science experiments\, crafts\, skits\, and all kinds of creative things). All of our age groups are using Wonder Ink.

DESCRIPTION:Awana Together It’s a unique faith building ministry for kids and their parents (or other key adults like grandparents) that helps families learn how to follow Jesus in everyday life. Each week provides a space for families to connect\, have fun\, and explore. \nWhat do Awana Together nights include? \nWORSHIP: all ages joined together \nCONNECT: age-specific programming \nBLESS: a final send-off for all the families \nWhat happens during the age-specific programming? \nKids will break into small groups by age: nursery\, PreK 3+\, K-3rd grade\, and Club 45 (4th & 5th grade). New this year during Kids Time\, all our kids will dive into God’s Word using Awana Brite. Each month\, we’ll explore a new theme. For example\, September’s theme is Masterpiece: God Gives Us Hope! Every week\, the Bible is read\, heard\, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives. The goal is to help kids confidently know: \n\nI believe in Jesus.\nI’m becoming more like Him.\nI belong to Him forever.\n\nAnd\, as always with Awana\, kids will have fun with games\, crafts\, STEM\, and other activities that help them connect with each other\, their leaders\, and God. \nDuring the Parent/Caregiver Time\, adults will connect\, pray\, get into God’s Word\, and build practical skills to help them love\, lead\, and disciple the kids in their lives…walking with their kids in their faith journey as they grow in their own faith. \nAwana meets Wednesday nights starting Sept 25 from 6:15pm-7:45pm.
