Greetings from Australia!

Hi Faith Family,

As you may know, we at Faith are privileged to walk alongside missionaries all over the world. The Webb family is one of those missionary families. Please enjoy this brief question and answer session with the Webbs:

Question: Who are you and what is your ministry?

Answer: We are the Webb Family: Jason, Erika, Lucy, and one little one on the way! I (Erika) am from Prior Lake, Minnesota and grew up at Faith. Jason is from New Zealand and Lucy was born in Australia. We currently live in Perth, Australia and work for Youth with a Mission (YWAM). YWAM is an international missions organization that focuses on using evangelism, training, and mercy ministries to reach the nations of the world.

Question: How has the pandemic impacted your ministry?

Answer: In February this year, we were doing outreach with a team In India and Indonesia before the borders of Australia got shut and most nations went into lockdown. So many young people invited Jesus into their lives for the first time. We’re so grateful to have had this opportunity before coronavirus restricted our ability to travel. Because of the nature of what we do and who we are, we have been much more limited with doing any ministry overseas. This forced us to be more intentional in looking for opportunities to serve families and communities within the nation of Australia. Thankfully the coronavirus is not really present where we are in this area of the country which means that life looks normal (aside from not being able to travel overseas), but we know this is not the reality for most parts of the world.

Question: How have you seen God working through your ministry during the pandemic?

Answer: One cool thing that has come about through this time is more online training courses. We’ve never run anything fully online before, but many believers from around the world have shown interest in doing some of our training. Jason was asked to head up one of these training schools online, which ran for 3 months. This course focuses on developing a biblical worldview, and confronts questions like “why do I believe what I believe?” It was a huge success and Jason was able to provide leadership for a handful of students around the world who were showing up to class daily.

Question: What are your hopes for your ministry’s future?

Answer: We are hoping for more connections locally to be able to serve the churches in the city of Perth and love on more people who are in need of knowing Jesus, especially in such a confusing and difficult time.

Question: How can we support you as your church family?

Answer: With a new baby coming in May 2021, there are increasing financial needs for us. We are trusting to raise a little bit more monthly support as well as one time gifts. For anyone who feels led to partner with us financially in this time, this link is the best way to do so.

Also, please pray for a healthy pregnancy and for us as a family as we prepare to become four! We are increasingly aware of our need for God to guide the steps we take.

Thank you, Webb family, for taking the time to update us on your life abroad. We will continue to pray with and for you and look forward to all God will do through your growing family and ministry!

With You in It,

Tone Waters, Director of GO & Communications
