Faith,
Why would we wear a team jersey out and about?
Why would we put a bumper sticker on our car?
Why would we put a candidate’s sign in our yard?
Isn’t it because we want people to know where our commitments lie?
Where do your commitments lie?
What are you really committed to?
And what do your commitments say about you?
Or maybe a better question is…
Who are your commitments creating?
This Sunday as we continue to ask, “Who am I, God?” we’re going to ask, “Am I my commitments, God?”
I pray you will join us, and I pray you will pray about whom you might invite because, in a world that preaches our identity lies in our commitments, the scriptures tell us our identity lies in Christ.
