Hello Faith Family!
Has anyone else heard of the acronym “DTR?”
For me, this was common parlance during my college years. It’s an acronym that helps people get on the same page. It’s an acronym that helps prevent confusion. It’s an acronym that can set the stage for the future of relationships of varying kinds.
What is it?
It’s no fun (for me) to tell you now. But trust me – it’s a valuable concept that we also see popping up in the Ten Commandments. This week, we’ll be on our second week of the first commandment – “You shall have no other gods before me.” It’s a divine DTR of tremendous proportions, one that set the tone for much of the Old Testament and for us today as well. I look forward to sharing more with you on Sunday.
In the meantime, I would appreciate your prayers for this weekend. Faith Covenant is part of the Northwest Conference of our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church. From Thursday through Saturday, the conference is having our annual meetings in Wilmar, MN. Please pray for Pastor Brad, Pastor Char, and myself as we travel to and from Wilmar, along with all the other attendees. Also, pray that the time together is a blessing that increases our unity and provides mutual encouragement as we discern together.
