Faith,
Have you ever wondered how you became a part of your family? It’s a fascinating question. Whether by birth or adoption, you had responsibilities once you were part of your family. But the actual admittance into your family was not really in your hands, was it? We could even say your birth wasn’t fully your parents’ doing! Sure, they participated, but the actual process that made you a YOU was God’s doing.
So, how do we become part of God’s family? It’s simpler than you might think. Do we have to bat 1000 morally? Do we need a cape and some super-Christian powers? Are we all children of God already? Or do we need to be circumcised, baptized, confirmed, and proselytized?
Hmmm…sounds confusing. It’d be helpful if there were some book that could give us some answers to these big, ultimate questions, right? Good news! There is! We will be exploring it this Sunday as we explore again the genesis of God’s eternal family in Christ in the Beginning.
