Faith,

Think of the people who’ve spent time teaching you important things.

There was a time when I didn’t know how to iron a shirt. Then, my mom taught me. Now, I am really good at ironing a shirt. There was a time when I didn’t know how to floss! I had six cavities! The dentist taught me how to floss. Now, I floss and I don’t get cavities! There was a time when I didn’t understand credit card debt. I had too much debt! Someone then showed me how to pay it off. Now, I have no credit card debt! There was also a time when I didn’t know Jesus, and then someone shared the gospel with me, and now I’m saved for eternity. What if they’d never told me?

This Sunday, as we continue our series, Each One, Reach One, we will look at one of the most obvious but important biblical truths churches need to learn. Faith comes by hearing!

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?…Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Romans 10:14-15a,17

Friends, we should never be mad at someone who doesn’t know Jesus. Chances are, no one has ever told them about Him. Praise God! He has placed us in the lives of others whom He loves, and He has called us to walk with them, with God, and with His word so they too will know the Him who sets us free.

I pray you will join us this Sunday as we continue to Each One, Reach One–one life at a time.

In Christ alone,

Pastor Brad
