Faith,

God is so wise! For centuries, He has placed times in His people’s calendars to refocus, re-engage, and center once again on the Truth that sets us free. This Sunday, we will be drawn back to the first Palm Sunday, when Jesus began His journey to the cross, riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. We will sing Hosanna! Our kids will sing, and I will teach you another simple but practical way to share the good news of Christ with the people you love.

Here’s my challenge to you as we inch closer to Holy Week. Stop for a moment and pray for two things as you approach Sunday:

  1. Pray your heart will be attuned once more to the great love of the God who is crazy in love with you. Recently, I have been praying Psalm 27:4, “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” God is not only good and faithful to us. His love is eternally beautiful! Our life together in Him is a demonstration of that beauty.

  2. Pray God would send someone into your path to share His love, and let the Holy Spirit lead you as you share God’s kindness and love through word and deed. Easter week is an excellent time to ask good spiritual questions: “What do you and your family do for Easter? Why is it significant to you? Do you have a church home?”

Friends, Jesus knew about you as He rode into Jerusalem toward the cross. He laid His life down willingly so you and He would never have to be separate again! What an amazing friend we have in Jesus! Let His love shine through you and your family as you walk with Him through Holy Week.

In Christ alone,

Pastor Brad

***No sermon notes this Sunday due to the nature of the sermon, but feel free to spend some time reflecting on Romans 5:1.
