Faith,

Early in my adult life, I had some misconceptions about how churches were funded. My naive equation looked something like this:

state grants +  county grants + the denomination + the Vatican + some mysterious endowment + some rich guy’s giving + my occasional $20 = my church’s income.

Perhaps my naivete is a little overstated, but have you considered lately who funds Faith Covenant Church? It looks more like this: you + me + us = Faith Covenant’s income. Given this, I have three items of note for us today.

  1. Let’s celebrate! Our first-quarter giving in 2025 was the strongest we’ve had in over a decade! WOW!
  2. Yellow Flag! Faith’s second quarter of 2025 was well below budget.
  3. Let’s pitch in! If every person who calls Faith home would give above and beyond their typical monthly giving in June, we would end our ministry year in the black rather than the red. This means more money for more people to experience the ministry of the gospel in and through our church. To make this happen, we’d need an extra $560 per household in June.

Whoa! I recognize that this request is beyond the capacity of many people, so here’s a compromise. Give what God places on your heart and do so cheerfully by Sunday, June 29th.

  • For those who don’t give regularly, sign up today for our automated monthly giving program.

  • For those who used to give regularly, consider signing up for automated monthly giving

  • For those of you who regularly give and have the capacity to make an end-of-the-fiscal-year gift, you can do so here

Remember our motto: 100% participation, no matter the amount. Together, we can be a part of funding the mission to make disciples of Jesus from generation to generation.

In Christ alone,

Pastor Brad
