One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is the reminder that my “world” isn’t all there is… that my view, my perspective, my habits & routines, even the buildings and animals and language and foods and foliage that I find “common,” are merely a tiny corner of this great big world we live in.
We’re in the middle of a series that reminds us who we are as a denominational HOME, of the history and values that drove our forbears and drive us still. The ECC isn’t a local church, we’re a global church, fulfilling both the Great Commandment AND the Great Commission, all around the world! This Sunday is special, because we get to hear from a missionary who serves alongside us in a very different part of the world… same God, same mission, same message, different culture and methods.
This Sunday is sure to open your eyes and your hearts as we consider what it looks like to “affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the Church.”
