A recurring theme we heard this week was the powerful, active, living, moving, miracle-working presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of God’s children. How fitting, given our topic this Sunday (our second affirmation): We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit. I hope you heard this theme last Sunday as well as we remembered our Pietist roots, which were fueled by a “fresh wind of the Spirit.”
