For anyone who didn’t yet have a chance to read my year-end giving letter, it is below.

——

Faith,

Our church exists to make disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. We do what disciples do. We worship, pray, grow, serve, and giveDisciples give. It’s what we do.

Like your household, our church has seen rising costs. Our casualty insurance has increased by 30%, and our mortgage payment has risen by 15%! Wouldn’t it be great next month to tell the story of how we eliminated our $64,172 budget shortfall this year?

How would we do that? Together! If each Faith household gives an extra $214 above their monthly giving in December, we will wipe this deficit off our books. I understand that $214 is too hard for some. I also know it’s too easy for many. Remember our motto: 100% participation, no matter the amount. If we all participate, we all celebrate!

Here are four ways we can give together by the end of the year:

Online Recurring Giving: Everyone can sign up by clicking the “GIVE” button on the FaithConnect app or going to faithcovenant.org/give

In-Person Giving: Gifts can be given on Sunday mornings, dropped by the church office, or mailed to Faith Covenant Church, 12921 Nicollet Ave., Burnsville, MN, 55337. Please note that the church office will be closed from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day. Year-end gifts must be postmarked by December 31st.

Stock Contributions: Appreciated stock is a great way to maximize your tax benefit. Church must receive stock donations by Dec. 31. For more info, contact Rick Toboz in the church office: rtoboz@faithcovenant.org

IRA – 401K Charitable Deduction: If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free charitable gift of up to $100,000 directly from your IRA or 401(k) to Faith Covenant Church by December 31st. Our Director of Operations, Rick Toboz (rtoboz@faithcovenant.org), would happily help you structure a year-end gift.

I ask all of us to pray toward this year-end goal: “Lord, touch the heart of every person at Faith Covenant Church. Inspire each of us to give generously and play a part in eliminating this year-end shortfall.”

In it together!

Pastor Brad
