Faith,
It’s Easter week! Think of the power of YES! Holy Week reminds us again, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:20).
Your birth was God’s “Yes!” Each breath is another divine “Yes!” Each new day is His loving, “Yes, yes, yes!” And what does God ask in return? “Yes, Lord! Yes!”
I am blown away by God’s “Yes!” When we join God’s YES in Christ Jesus, new creation possibilities spring forth eternally. There’s no end to what God can create when we say, “Yes, Lord! Yes!”
Of course, sin is a destructive, “No!” The Bible is clear. Love’s invitation can be rejected, and in so doing, we participate in the ending of what could be. But even in our “No!”, God’s amazing grace says, “Yes!”
To the Woman at the Well, God said, “Yes!”
To the Woman caught in Adultery, God said, “Yes!”
To the orphans, widows, prostitutes, and tax collectors, God said, “Yes, yes, yes!”
To the blind, the lame, and the lepers, God said, “Yes!”
We nailed Him to the cross to say, “No, Lord, No!” But Easter morning, when all assumed “No!”, Christ Jesus walked out the victor–God’s new creation “YES!”
I pray you, your family, and friends will join us again this Good Friday and Easter as we worship together the God who says, “Yes!”
In Christ alone,
Pastor Brad
