Hello church!

My name is Kavan and I’m the discipleship director at Faith Covenant Church. It’s my honor to preach on Sunday! Recently we’ve been in a sermon series called Each One Reach One that illustrates the importance of one-on-one discipleship.

But it’s not easy. It can be downright daunting, especially if you’ve never done it before. If that’s what you’re feeling, that’s ok! We’ve all been there.

Discipling others is an essential part of the Christian faith, and here at Faith, we want to equip you to do just that. If you need any resources for discipling or have questions, don’t hesitate to ask! We want to help you. But one of the greatest resources is already at your disposal.

Prayer.

That may seem like the obvious  Christian answer to anything and everything, but we should never discount the power of prayer in all things that we do. This Sunday, we’re going to take a look at how Paul and how prayer fueled his ministry and the ministry of others. Prayer is formative, and I’m excited to take a deeper look into how it aids us in discipleship.

I also want to recognize that this Sunday is the first Sunday of Lent. We are encouraging a few different resources that may help you to refocus on God this Lent, so below are three links to excellent books and a link to a devotional.

I’m looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
