Happy Thanksgiving, Faith!
This week, I want you to hear something. I am thankful for you! When I think of our Faith family, I am so grateful God brought Jill and me to serve Faith Covenant Church. No church is perfect, and all of us belong to the much larger capital C, Church, but our flock at Faith is filled with brothers and sisters simply trying to love well and do so with grace and truth. What a gift we have at Faith Cov!
It’s for this reason we’re going to have a unique Thanksgiving service this Sunday where we stop and give thanks to the One from whom all good gifts flow. We will round off our Generous sermon series with what I’m calling The Generosity of Gratitude. Together, we will model and enact what 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
You can help me by bringing a Bible and marking out a verse or passage for which you are grateful. I hope we will all leave our worship service refreshed and renewed as we generously share our gratitude to God for all He has done.
