Faith,

The sun rises and sets on saints and sinners.

The wicked prosper and the faithless live at ease.

The rain falls on outlaws and missionaries.

The story of God proceeds through saints and sinners.

I find it so helpful that the Bible is such an honest book. The story in which we find ourselves (the Bible) is not one in which imperfect people become perfect once they find faith in God. Instead, it’s a story of imperfect people who stumble into grace and continue to live in God’s grace through future stumbles. Yet, God’s perfect plan proceeds through saints and sinners in the stumbling.

This Sunday, as we continue our journey through Genesis in Christ in the Beginning, we will meet two brothers, Jacob and Esau. These two stumblers were a lot like all of us. Perfect? No. Part of God’s work in the world? Yes!

I pray you will prioritize our time together. The world desperately needs more people who find their identity in God’s story.

In Christ alone,

Pastor Brad
